Nyakeya secures point in four-goal thriller against Gor

Cliff Nyakeya struck late to secure a 2-2 draw against champions Gor Mahia at Kenyatta Stadium on Wednesday.

Jacques Tuyisenge's penalty handed the hosts the lead on 21 minutes after referee Samuel Mwaura penalised James Situma for a high boot on Geoffrey Ochieng'.

Boniface Omondi made it 2-0 in the 57th after Francis Omondi gifted him possession in the ball. The diminutive forward rode a challenge from Samuel Olwande before placing the ball beyond an advancing Allan Owiny. 

John Mwangi's deflected strike halved the deficit six minutes later and with a minute left to play, Nyakeya equalised from the spot. 

Mathare was awarded a penalty after Clifford Alwanga's goal-bound shot brushed Harun Shakava's arm. 

The result means we finish the season sixth with 55 points.
